The past 36 hours have been so exciting for the team. They were reunited with Courageous. They went through inspections. Now they will be putting Courageous in the water today, at approximately 12:30pm our time. Notice her water attire in the above picture.
Did I mention they had a LIVE INTERVIEW on The Weather Channel this morning??? This day is getting more exciting by the minute. The guys looked great and I am beginning to think they might be getting more comfortable in front of the camera.
The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge A.K.A. The Toughest Row, will begin in less than 48 hours. As the time nears, the team will continue to prep Courageous and tie up loose ends. In addition, they will be resting for the starting line. Afterall, they will be working hard to get Courageous across the Atlantic Ocean.
I am so proud to be a part of this community and how it has supported our Foar From Home Team as well as reached out to each and every one of us wives. The support has been amazing and just keeps getting better.
I appreciate everyone who has reached out to me personally, in the past two weeks. I can tell you this has not been the easiest thing I have ever experienced and I feel that it will become more difficult in the near future. But I keep focusing on the cause and how many lives this little jaunt across the ocean will affect. I have had quite a few stories of PTSD and Veteran Suicide shared with me lately. The impact on the families and the struggles of the veterans are devastating. It’s an overwhelming feeling that I can be a small part of the Foar From Home journey and mission to help end PTSD and Veteran’s Suicide.
Sea you soon.
